This article first proposes a radial reluctance resolver with external rotor(RRRER). According to the selected parameters, the finite element analysis software is used to build the preliminary model, and the simulation analysis is carried out after setting the winding parameters, mesh division and boundary conditions. The envelope of the output waveform is extracted and Fourier decomposition is performed to obtain the accuracy of the signal output. According to the preliminary design of the reluctance rotary transformer, optimization analysis is carried out from three aspects: pole number, stator tooth width, and air gap length. The optimized parameters are used to establish a model to verify the feasibility of the optimized design. Thus, the harmonic distortion rate can be effectively reduced and the measurement accuracy of resolver can be improved to meet the practical application requirements.
