Abstract
This study introduces an ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna featuring enhanced radiation capabilities and a metamaterial-based structure, designed for future wireless power transfer systems. Its schematic contains a modified triangular patch as the main radiation element with three embedded split-ring metamaterial resonators, inspired by a 4×4 metasurface with compact unit cells, all implemented on an FR4 substrate. The results demonstrate that the antenna operates effectively within the frequency range of 2.8–12 GHz, covering the necessary spectra from 3.1 to 10.6 GHz. The results demonstrate that the antenna operates effectively within the frequency range of 2.8–12 GHz, covering the necessary spectra from 3.1 to 10.6 GHz. The study confirms that the proposed design achieves the desired frequency response, radiation characteristics, and gain levels, making it suitable for ultra-wideband and wireless power transfer systems.
