The wind turbine grid-connected contactor is one of the important components of the wind turbine, but its failure will affect the actual service life of the wind turbine. Through on-site dismantling of grid-connected contactor equipment with batch failures in wind farms, inspection and failure cause analysis. After analysis, the reason for the failure of the grid-connected contactor is that the wind farm is located in the coastal area, and the environment is highly corrosive, which makes the grid-connected contactor susceptible to high salt density and aging quickly. As a result, the dynamic and static contacts of the wind turbine cannot be completely fixed and closed during the grid connection process, and the contacts of the equipment will melt, thereby destroying the grid connection contactor.
