Abstract

This study focuses on using the thermal explosion method to synthesize intermetallic compounds (IMC) as precursors for dealloying, offering a straightforward, cost-effective approach to electrode material production. The rapid synthesis ensures uniform composition and structure, crucial for high-performance supercapacitors. We successfully synthesized porous CoAl IMC precursors, leading to Co3O4 materials with various nanostructures through combined chemical and electrochemical dealloying. These materials demonstrated exceptional pseudocapacitive performance, highlighting the potential of this synthesis approach for advanced energy storage solutions.
