A numerical approach is important for understanding the nonlinear effects in optical media. It is important for practicability and a system designed to study optical soliton propagation in optical nonlinear media. In this paper, the Ansatz method is attempted and therefore simulations are additionally given. The method will be used to execute over three subdivisions, where the dispersion contribution is integrated in the first and third subdivisions and the nonlinear part will be integrated in the second subdivision.  The Madlab programming language is employed to simulate the soliton propagation in a single-mode optical fiber. The influence of optical fiber loss is discussed and also pointed out that if two optical solitons are extremely near, they will strongly affect each other. The governing equation is the cubic nonlinear Schrödinger equation, (CNLSE), in presence of perturbation terms.
