Research on characteristics of ALNiCo semi-hard magnetic operating mechanism of 10kV DC circuit breaker

In order to achieve the rational distribution of energy resources and promote the integration of new energy sources into the grid, direct current transmission technology is becoming increasingly widely used due to its high transmission efficiency and long-distance transmission capabilities. However, in the event of a fault in a DC transmission system, the short-circuit current rises rapidly and reaches a large peak, making the rapid interruption of the short-circuit fault and fault isolation a difficult and critical research focus.To meet the high requirements of DC grids for fast circuit breaker opening and achieve miniaturization of switch equipment, this paper proposes a 10kV fast operating mechanism based on the semi-hard magnetic material ALNiCo,and the hysteresis characteristics of ALNiCo material are analyzed by using Jile-Atherton hysteresis model, the parameters of the ALNiCo material were identified using the particle swarm optimization. Subsequently, the electrical characteristics and motion performance of the ALNiCo material as an actuator and holding mechanism were studied using the finite element method under different structures and parameters.The results indicate that the ALNiCo semi-hard magnetic mechanism has strong application potential, and this study provides a foundation for the design and optimization of such mechanisms.
