Recently, to reduce the size of the vacuum circuit breaker has become an important issue in the application of vacuum circuit breakers in high voltage levels. However, with the decrease of the size of the vacuum circuit breaker, the influence of magnetic field induced by nearby phase becomes more significant. The objective of this paper is to determine the influence of magnetic field induced by nearby phase on the AMF and TMF characteristics between contacts in vacuum under high current. Firstly, the AMF contacts simulation model under influence of magnetic field induced by nearby phase is established. Then, the influence of magnetic field induced by nearby phase on the AMF of the contacts under various distance and gaps separating distance will be determined. Finally, the TMF contacts simulation model under influence of magnetic field induced by nearby phase is established. The influence of magnetic field induced by nearby phase on the TMF characteristics of the contacts under various distance and gaps separating distance will be determined.
