The Inverted Magnetron vacuum pressure measurement technique is an essential partt of the manufacturing process for vacuum interrupters which provides confidence in the life expectancy of the sealed for life devices. The technique is explained together with a summary of the results of research carried out on the ageing of Vacuum Interrupters and specifically the rise in internal pressure with age.indicating the limit of usefulness of these sealed for life devices.
