In the testing of power electronic converters, voltage and temperature are important indicators to ensure the safe operation of converters. In low-cost high-voltage converter testing, conventional test methods often fail to harmonize between cost, accuracy, and space constraints. This paper will present the application of a temperature sensor based on magnetic field energy harvesting in the testing of the above mentioned converters. Firstly, this paper introduces the working principle of the temperature sensor based on magnetic field energy harvesting, and uncovers from it the relationship between the interval time of its transmission information and the output voltage of the converter. Secondly, take the low-power high-voltage converter above 1kV as an example, describe the limitations of conventional testing methods in this converter. The arrangement of the temperature sensor based on magnetic field energy harvesting in the converter is given. The experimental results also verify the correctness of the above theoretical analysis.
