Abstract
With the rapid development of new energy technologies, high-power power electronic converters are playing an increasingly vital role in power systems. Currently, the design of high-power converters is mostly customized, heavily reliant on the engineering experience of designers, and susceptible to waste of expensive equipment due to design oversights. This paper proposes a standardized design process for high-power converters to improve design efficiency and reduce trial-and-error costs. It first outlines the key steps in the design of high-power converters, including performance analysis, topology selection, parameter and component design, structural and thermal performance checks, and preliminary performance testing. It then describes the iterative optimization process within each design phase. Finally, based on this process, a 200kW DC/DC high-power converter prototype was designed and passed all basic performance tests, demonstrating the practicality and effectiveness of the proposed design process and facilitating the move towards automated design.
