Abstract
To enhance the control performance of open winding permanent magnet synchronous motor (OW-PMSM) with common dc bus, an improved model predictive current control (MPCC) based on duty ratio (IMPCC-DR) method is proposed in this paper. First, the voltage vectors generated by the dual inverter are considered uniformly and on the basis of which a 180° large vector is used for duty cycle modulation. Secondly, the duty ratio is simply calculated using the q-axis current deadbeat method, dividing the time of the positive voltage vector equally between inverter 1 and inverter 2. Then, redistribution of zero voltage vector time suppresses the zero-sequence current (ZSC). Finally, the simulation results conducted on Matlab/Simulink demonstrate that the IMPCC-DRC method can effectively reduce the current total harmonic distortion (THD) and the ripple of ZSC compared to conventional MPC method.
