Abstract
To address the parameter mismatch issue in model predictive current control (MPCC),  an improved method for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drives based on a sliding mode disturbance observer (SMDO) is proposed in this paper. The analysis indicates that significant mismatches in inductance and flux linkage parameters are identified as major contributors to these issues. To mitigate these effects, firstly, the SMDO is introduced to perform one-step delay compensation. Then, the inductance extraction algorithm utilizes the disturbance information derived from the SMDO to compensate for inductance mismatch, and a model reference adaptive system (MRAS) is employed to estimate the true flux linkage parameter, enabling real-time parameter compensation for MPCC. Finally, Multiple simulation results confirm that the proposed method significantly enhances the robustness of MPCC against parameter mismatches.
