Abstract
State equations are essential tools for describing thermodynamic states and phase transitions within systems. The study of state equations has become increasingly important across various scientific and engineering disciplines. In astronomy and physics researches, materials typically experience high-energy density states, and the relevance and precision of state equations at high pressures are especially important. Shock-state equation experiments of stepped aluminum sample were conducted using direct-drive, indirect-drive and hybrid-drive approaches on the ShenGuang two upgrade facility. The VISAR data indicate that, in the hybrid-drive case, the velocity in aluminum sample surpasses those observed in the other two cases. Moreover, the shockwave generated by the hybrid-drive approach reached a pressure of approximately ten terapascal. This platform could be utilized for future high pressure state equation experimental investigations.
