Abstract
The shipboard equipment monitoring system is critical for ensuring maritime safety, with the embedded control module serving as the central hub for data acquisition and control. The autonomy, controllability, and high reliability of this module are of paramount importance. Addressing this requirement, this paper presents the design and implementation of a highly reliable and autonomously controllable embedded control module. On the hardware level, electrical isolation for multiple CAN and RS-485 buses is achieved by employing transceiver chips with integrated isolated power supplies and signal isolation. This approach effectively suppresses common-mode interference and ground loop issues prevalent in the complex shipboard electromagnetic environment. Furthermore, I²C bus expansion technology is utilized to facilitate multi-channel digital signal acquisition and control, thereby conserving MCU I/O resources. On the software level, the RT-Thread real-time operating system is ported to the module. Its I/O device management framework is leveraged to provide unified management of all peripherals, for which corresponding device drivers were developed. A multi-threaded test program was designed to conduct a comprehensive functional verification of the module. The results demonstrate that the module's communication interfaces and I/O functions operate correctly with stable and reliable performance. It achieves highly reliable communication and precise I/O control during long-term continuous operation. Consequently, the module meets the functional and technical specifications required by  the shipboard equipment monitoring system, offering an effective solution for developing an autonomous and controllable system.
