Abstract
A study of skin-friction drag reduction in a turbulent channel flow is conducted using direct numerical simulations, Periodic variations in wall temperature induce bouyancy forces and spanwise velocity oscillations. This control strategy achieves a maximum drag reduction of 43.3%.
