Abstract
This research implements an intrusive magnetic probe system on the J-TEXT tokamak for internal magnetic diagnosis of plasmas in both stable and tearing-mode-unstable phases. The radially drivable probe array acquired internal measurements of the vertical magnetic field component below the midplane during controlled discharges. For plasmas with coupled tearing modes (2/1 and 3/1), a current filament model constrained by both external Mirnov coils and the internal probe array revealed phase-locked dynamics and quantitatively determined the mode amplitudes. During stable phases, current profile reconstruction was achieved utilizing the measured data under the assumption of a circular cross section, demonstrating close agreement with established equilibrium reconstruction benchmarks. This approach provides a unified diagnostic framework for correlated analysis of current profiles and magnetohydrodynamic instabilities while minimizing plasma perturbation.
