Abstract
The reservoir area of the Lianghekou Hydropower Station is characterized by complex geological conditions, deeply incised river valleys, steep bank slopes, and intense weathering-unloading effects. During the initial impoundment phase, a multitude of potential landslide hazards were induced, posing a severe threat to the operational safety of the hydropower station and the lives and property of residents in the reservoir area.
In this study, first, active landslides within the reservoir area were identified and a dynamic catalog database was established using comprehensive approaches, including Stacking-InSAR technology, high-resolution optical satellite imagery, airborne LiDAR technology, and field investigations. Second, based on the deformation data acquired via SBAS-InSAR technology, an evaluation index system for landslide activity in the reservoir area was constructed, and a classification of the activity levels of potential landslide hazards in the area was conducted. Third, by integrating the geological environment characteristics of the study area, the spatial distribution patterns of active landslides within the region were analyzed. Finally, focusing on typical landslides as research objects, the deformation and failure characteristics as well as the evolution mechanism of these typical landslides were revealed. This was achieved by coupling rainfall, reservoir water level, and time-series deformation data, leveraging comprehensive methods such as multi-source remote sensing detection and on-site investigations.
