Abstract
The development of hydrodynamic instabilities in laser-driven inertial confinement fusion is one of the key factors limiting the success of fusion ignition. It is necessary to gain a deep understanding of the growth mechanisms and development patterns of these instabilities and to suppress their growth as much as possible in order to achieve an efficient and stable implosion. This report will present several recent studies conducted by our research group on the development of Rayleigh-Taylor instabilities (RTIs), including the influence of nonlocal electron transport on both the linear and nonlinear evolution of ablative RTIs, the effects of high-Z dopant elements on inner-interface perturbations, and the influence of nonlocal electron transport on the implosion of a spherical target doped with high-Z elements. These findings will contribute to a comprehensive understanding of the growth mechanisms and suppression methods for hydrodynamic instabilities in laser-driven fusion, providing valuable references and insights for experimental target design.
