Occlusion is a challenge problem in many computer vision applications such as intelligent video surveillance, visual tracking and 3D reconstruction. Recently, synthetic aperture imaging using a camera array has become a powerful method for handling this problem. In this paper, we proposes a real-
time synthetic aperture imaging system using 11 synchronized commodity color cameras which are connected and controlled by a central computer over IEEE1394b cables. The experimental result show that our system can run at 30 frames per second with resolution of 640×480 pixels in RGB channels coming from each camera and the synthesis result.
