Research on Organization Safety Climate Survey Scale in Coal Mine

For the purpose of developing effective survey scale of organization safety climate in coal mine, through hackling more than 30 years literature of safety climate on domestic and international, the dimensions of organization safety climate were determined. Then the items of organization safety climate on each dimension were determined based on items of safety climate were proposed by Chinese researchers. And through an reliability and exploratory factor analysis on the small scale test sample data, the items of scale were refined. Finally an investigation on 845 miners from 9 coal mine was conducted and analyzed by means of confirmatory factor analysis, the rationality of 7 dimensions (safety attitude and commitment, safety training, safety supervision and management, workplace safety environment, safety communication, manager safety concern, worker behavior) on organization safety climate and the effectiveness of the scale in coal mine were tested. The study shows that the organization safety climate survey scale in coal mine has a good reliability and validity, and is considered to be an efficacious tool for organization safety climate research in coal mine.
