The study of diesel engine requires support of simulation tools from several fields. This paper analyzed the complementary advantage of Modelica language and AMESim simulation platform when building system-level model in multiply physical field.Building diesel engine system model by graphic modeling in AMESim platform, and putting up battery model with Modelica language, this paper simulated the performance of diesel engine in low temperature condition.The result of simulation showed: the performance of battery was large influenced in low temperature condition, which influenced the starting performance of diesel engine; simulation though the cooperation of Modelica language and AMESim platform is feasible, and the modeling efficiency can be highly improved by using Modelica language because of the convenience and easy-modification.
