SWOT Analysis of Geoparks in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia and its Sustainable Development Measures

Chifeng has rich geoheritage resources, which provides favorable conditions for the construction of geoparks. There are four geoparks in Chifeng, including one global geopark, one national geopark and two autonomous geoparks. In order to understand the development conditions of geopark, SWOT method is used to analyze the Superiority, Weakness, Opportunity and Threats of geoparks in Chifeng. For the sustainable development of geopark, three measures are put forward in this article: (1) improve management level of geopark management agencies, (2) encourage more private capital to participate in the geopark construction. (3) strengthen international communication and cooperation.
