Abstract The main research content is a quantitative description of the structural uncertainty problem (Quantification Uncertainty) based on the finite element theory.First dimensional reduction numerical integration method is used to decompose multi-dimensional random response function and transfor it into the combination form of multiple one-dimensional random response function,so the multi-dimensional statistical moments of structural random response expressions can be expressed by the integration form of the one-dimensional function;Gaussian integral formula is used to get one-dimensional random response statistical moments,after the multi-dimensional stochastic structural response statistical moments is gained,C type Gram-Charlier (CGC)used to approximate the probability density function of stochastic structural response.In this paper, the car amplitude is calculated and the results are compared with Monte Carlo method.The results show that the amount of samples used in dimensional reduction integration method and CGC is far less than the Monte Carlo,the calculation efficiency is much higher than Monte Carlo method and the accuracy of them are very close.So this method is simple and reasonable.
