The Physical layer best suited to the new concepts of dynamic access spectrum management and cognitive radio is needed for future efficient wireless and mobile radio networks The requirements of high data rates and flexible spectrum allocation are met by multicarrier techniques, which can approach the theoretical capacity limits in communications. Filter-bank Multicarrier Modulation (FBMC) transmission system is an alternative approach to orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system since it has a higher spectral efficiency. New FBMC scheme and transmission strategy in order to avoid interference among primary and secondary users good separation/filtering of different subcarriers is necessary. Thus any OFDM transmission technique can be performed straight forwardly to the FBMC scheme with a corresponding complexity growth compared to the classical FBMC. 5G emphasize on the need for waveforms with better spectral containment per subcarrier than the celebrated orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) First will develop the FFT-FBMC in the case of single input single-output (SISO) configuration. This project is implemented by two phase, phase 1 deals with simulation process and phase 2 involve hardware implementation of the system
