Temperature is a key factor in almost all aspects of human life. Therefore, understanding its behavior helps humanity to plan for activities more efficiently. According to IPCC, in the recent decades the temperature has started to change around the world with different rates. These changes may have many consequences; henceforth, they should be studied and investigated. In this research, the authors have used the Sen’s Slope Estimator and simple linear regression to study the trends of Average Air Temperature in the Alburz Mountain Range. Data were gathered from Islamic Republic of Iran Meteorology Organization for nine synoptic stations with data log longer than fifty years. The results showed highly significant correlation between the Sen’s method and the linear regression method. The amount and the rate of changes in average air temperature were different stations and no significant spatial pattern could be found. Five stations have experienced a negative trend (decrease in average air temperature) and the other four showed an increase in their average temperature. Noticeably, the amount of increase or decrease in the temperature data was quite various in different stations.
