Energy Detection Spectrum Sensing on DPSK Modulation Transceiver using GNU radio

Cognitive radio (CR) can ease the problem of spectrum scarcity by allowing secondary users to coexist with incumbent users in licensed spectrum bands, while it causes no interference to incumbent communications. Spectrum sensing is the crucial in empowering technology of CR to sense the existence of primary users (PUs) or licensed user signals and exploit the spectrum holes. Hence, this paper addresses the testing of spectrum sensing technique for Differential Phase Shift Keying (DPSK) transceiver by employing an open source software, GNU Radio. Furthermore, the impact of different simulation channels such as Dynamic channel model with Rayleigh fading, dynamic channel model with Rician fading, frequency selective faded channel model with Rayleigh and frequency selective faded channel model with Rician fading are presented.
