Survey of IoT Frameworks for Smart Water Metering System

Applications for Internet of Things (IoT) need support of interoperable physical infrastructure, communication protocols, data storing and managing techniques and user-friendly interface. IoT is not as simple as the TCP/IP suite where protocols and communication structure are fixed.The key challenge for IoT is to have a standardized framework to connect any ‘thing’ to an IoT network. Here the major challenge is of heterogeneity of objects. Many researchers have tried to propose different frameworks to support IoT applications. This paper surveys different types of IoT frameworks proposed to help get insight about IoT trends and future scope for smart water metering system.
