Design & Study of Perturbed Rectangular Monopole Antenna for UWB Applications

A microstrip line feed antenna having the substrate of the dimension 25.34 × 21.35 × 1. mm3 with the material Rogers / RT duroid 5880 is designed. Initially a rectangular patch with dimension of 15.73 × 11.75 mm2 is taken on the upper side of the substrate and a partial ground of dimension 25.34 × 6.7 mm2 is taken on the lower side. The shape of the patch is modified and in the perturbed rectangular patch the range of frequency obtained is from 2.87 GHz to more than 40 GHz. Due to the ultra wideband & multiple resonance obtained here the antenna can be useful for so many applications.
