In this paper a new configuration of patch antenna is proposed for Ultra Wideband (UWB) applications. The patch structure is in the form of a palm hand type and fed with Co-Planar Waveguide (CPW). The antenna is mounted on a compact FR-4 substrate with dimensions as 30x32.5x1.6 mm^3 with relative permittivity as 4.4. The desired bandwidth is achieved
through the parametric study using the CST Microwave Studio.
