Abstract: In this paper the application and challenges of
grid discussed. For the reliability of the power system and
reduce the transmission loss the micro-grid concept is used.
to promote the NCES (non-conventional energy source)
form of solar and wind power the distributed generation
widely used and all distributed generation could be combindly used by using the micro-grid. Micro-grid can be classified
isolated micro-grid and grid connected micro-grid.
micro-grid is one which acts as small power system (Generation, transmission, distribution) and is functioning with distributed generation as power source. With the limited availability
fuel like coal and oil the future energy dependability must
renewable energy as solar energy and wind energy. Very
solar energy, wind energy and other non-conventional
source combined refer as distributed generation is main source
power for society. A micro-grid is group of loads
“distributed generators” that operate as a single Entity.
