Interruption property of vacuum interrupter with four different contact materials

Interruption property of vacuum interrupter with four different contact materials were researched by experimental method. The diameter of Wan-type contact and Spiral-type CuCr25 contact was 55mm. The diameter of Spiral-type CuCr35 and CuCr30 was 58mm. The contact thickness was 10mm before breaking test and the contact thickness was about 9mm after breaking test. The breaking current was 31.5kA and the rated voltage was 12kV. The interruption times of Wan-type contact with arc melting CuCr35 material was 56 times. The interruption times of Spiral-type contact with arc melting CuCr35 material was 22 times. The interruption times of Spiral-type contact with powder metallurgy CuCr25 material was 100 times. The interruption times of Spiral-type contact with casting CuCr30 material was 36 times.
