High-speed mechanical switch is the important device of hybrid high-voltage DC circuit breaker. In the paper, a high-speed vacuum electro-magnetic repulsion switch composed of the bistable maintain device and double-coil repulsion actuator is proposed. The finite element model of high-speed repulsion switch is established. The simulation analysis of multi-field coupling including electro-magnetic field, temperature field and motion field is carried out. The influence factors of the dynamic characteristics of high-speed repulsion switch and the characteristics of temperature distribution in repulsion switch are obtained. Then the closing bouncing problem of high-speed repulsion switch is discussed and analyzed. The results based on optimization show that the high-speed mechanical switch designed in this paper can reach the rated insulated opening distance of 20mm in 1.8ms.
