Electric fields have been employed in various applications over several decades including electricity, machinery, light industry, textile, aerospace, biology, medical care etc . Electric field exerts an acting force towards the charged particles within it. HV SF6 GCBs are widely used in HV ac transmission and distribution networks for switching normal system. The electrode geometry within the arc quenching chamber of HV SF6 GCBs is complex, electric field is generally described with nonlinear control equations, which has a high degree of spatiotemporal non-uniformity. Even small spatiotemporal changes in the electric field are responsible for great changes in the electric field distribution. Generally speaking, distribution of electric field is complex. Therefore, in field analysis, features which system has but single point doesn't are studied from the system level property perspective of electric field.
Emerged in the 1990s, complex network theory is one of the two classical theories explaining nonlinear theory, which can reflect the overall nature and behavior of systems based on the interaction between individuals, describes the abstract features of complex systems, and highlights the relationship between elements, thereby capturing features such as the evolution law and mechanism of complex systems and the overall behavior of systems on the basis of such relationship.
Based on the visibility graph network construction, this paper puts forward a network construction method of field visibility, and constructs electric field network with typical uniform electric field of plate capacitor and slightly non-uniform electric field within arc quenching chamber of HV SF6 GCBs as research objects. The research results indicate that the network construction through the field visibility method inherits some characteristics of electric field, and provides a new and effective means for studying complex network theory, which can be used for in-depth study of the evolution law of electric field.
