The Comparative Research of Competitive Abilities of Public Listed Commercial Banks in China

Based on the research of the existing literature, this article especially added some innovative factors, such as non-interest income growth rate, non-interest income ratio; to construct a comprehensive evaluation index system of bank competitiveness and evaluate the competitiveness of listed banks. This paper selects 11 urban commercial banks and 6 traditional small and medium-sized joint-stock commercial banks as samples and use principal component analysis and clustering analysis of SPSS17.0 multivariate statistical methods. Respectively, this paper evaluates this 17 listed commercial banks according to the principal component score and comprehensive score. In final, this paper analyzes the advantages and shortcomings of each bank's competitiveness, and gives some suggestions to promote the overall performance of China's banking industry.
