It is our great pleasure to announce the forthcoming conference EUSIPCO 2017 which will take place on the Greek island of Kos from August 28 to September 2, 2017 and will be held at its International Convention Center. Surrounded by the Aegean sea and rich in historic heritage, Kos has been a crossroad of many civilizations and was the birthplace of Hippocrates, the father of western medicine, and his ancient school that combined medical research and practice with the philosophy of well-being. Inspired by its scientific tradition, we are excited to organize the conference on this island, particularly in these days that witness a dynamic growth of signal processing as an ever increasingly fundamental discipline encompassing application areas ranging from communications to speech processing, from bioinformatics and image processing to big multimedia data and deep learning. Kos has direct airport connections to many European cities and is located in the middle of the Dodecanese group of islands at the southeast part of the Aegean archipelagos. Having been a gateway between eastern and western Europe, it now offers a cosmopolitan mix of a vibrant city lifestyle, idyllic beaches, historic tours, easy access to other Greek islands and many other Mediterranean attractions.
We hope that many of you will be attracted both by the scientific programme of EUSIPCO 2017 as well as by the natural beauty of Kos and the surrounding islands to participate in this exciting event.
