Introduction

The International Conference on Power Systems (ICPS) is a premier conference in the area of power engineering. ICPS 2017 continues a series of biennial conferences that began in 2004. The venue of ICPS is chosen from either India or Nepal. ICPS 2016, organized at IIT Delhi, was a great success like every other ICPS. The 7th International Conference on Power Systems, 2017 (ICPS 2017) will be held at College of Engineering Pune (CoEP), Shivajinagar, India from 21st to 23rd December 2017. ICPS 2017 is technically co-sponsored by IEEE Pune Section and IEEE PES/IAS Chapter.

The theme of ICPS 2017 is “Pathways for grids of the future” with the emphasis on trends in Smart Grid, planning-operation-control & reliability of grid, real time monitoring & protection, power market, distributed generation & power distribution issues, renewable sources-grid integration challenges, power quality, energy storage systems, micro and nano grid, electric vehicle, computer-IT & signal processing applications, power apparatus, power engineering education & industry-institute collaboration, and many advanced topics pertaining to power engineering.

ICPS 2017 will reflect the state of art in power and energy engineering domain and will serve as a forum where researchers, academicians, industry personnel, and scientists can present their original research, exchange ideas and promote networking for scientific and industrial collaboration. The emphasis is on peer reviewed papers with high technical quality. All the accepted and presented papers at the conference will be considered for inclusion in the IEEEXplore®. The tutorials on the relevant topics, keynotes by eminent persons, panel discussion, paper & poster presentations, and opportunities for industry/trade exhibits will be an integral part of the conference.

Looking forward to meet you at ICPS 2017 in Pune..!!
