Introduction
The 12th International Congress of the European-African Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association will take place in Mainz from 23rd until 26th of May, 2017 and it is my great pleasure to invite you to attend and participate in this meeting.
The organizing committee in cooperation with the EAHPBA will put greatest effort in the creation of an exciting scientific program: in addition to state-of-the-art lectures and interdisciplinary symposia the meeting will give clinicians and scientists from Europe and all over the world the opportunity to present and exchange their HPB experience with particular emphasis on the integration of young scientists.
Our website will provide most actual information about the scientific program, deadlines, accommodation and social activities.
I am looking forward to welcoming you in Mainz in 2017.
Call for paper
Important date
We have received over 660 abstracts for free paper, poster or video presentations so far. We also receive an increasing number of emails that interesting studies are just completed but cannot be submitted before the deadline. Since we want to discuss most actual data, the local organizing committee has decided to finally extend the deadline for abstract submission and the Early Bird registration fee until February 15, 2017.

The organizing committee encourages all members of the EAHPBA and interested colleagues in the field of HPB disorders to share their experience in HPB surgery and transplantation by presenting and discussing results of experimental projects, clinical studies and interesting cases.
Please submit an abstract for the respective categories. Based on the content and quality of this abstract, the scientific committee of the meeting will decide upon acceptance/rejection of the presentation as oral or poster presentation. The abstract submission will be exclusively managed electronically through this website. Information about acceptance and type and timing of the presentation will be sent by email.
The abstract submission is open until 15th February, 2017.
