The International Workshop on Adaptive Optics for Industry and Medicine provides scientists and engineers a forum for exploring recent developments, current practices and future developments in adaptive optics and related fields that are of specific interest to the medical, industrial and high-power laser projection communities.
The workshop brings together practitioners from academia, industry and national labs. The format is specifically geared toward a discussion of the various topics. It will be aided by presentations of invited talks on relevant topics.
The location of the workshop is Arlington, Virginia, in the Washington DC area. Arlington is easily reachable, being served by Washington Reagan National Airport and two other international airports, Washington Dulles and Baltimore-Washington International. Arlington is served by a network of public transportation and is the locale of a true melting pot of cultures, embodying the USA in the most complete sense.
Topics will include:
wavefront sensing
wavefront correction devices
control systems and strategies
complete AO systems
image enhancement techniques
high-power laser projection
MEMs mirror
liquid crystal SLMs
novel lens technologies
