Introduction

Greetings, The IEEE International Conference on Communication, Networks and Satellite (COMNETSAT) is an annual conference, sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc) Indonesia Chapter, the IEEE Indonesia Section, the IEEE AESS/GRSS Indonesia Joint Chapter, and hosted by Politeknik Negeri Semarang. The 2017 edition of this conference will be held in Semarang, Indonesia on October 5 – 7, 2017 at the Gumaya Tower Hotel.

COMNETSAT 2017 aims to address current state of technology and the outcome of ongoing research in the area of Communications, Networks and Satellite Systems, which covers theory, design and application of computer and communication, networks and satellite systems as well as broadband photonic systems. During recent years there has been an impressive increase in the use of networked applications and networks are now key resources in any information system configuration. Wireless and fixed line networks complemented by a growing range of mobile devices are having a significant impact on the way we run our lives and our business.

Continuous progress towards such new emerging technologies as 5G wireless systems, broadband satellites, photonic networks and systems, IoT and IoE, molecular communications, and so on, as well as the development of communication technologies for real-life problems and humanity, are all within the scope of this year’s conference. Articles of interdisciplinary nature are also welcome. COMNETSAT 2017 invites original and unpublished works from individuals active in the broad theme of the conference.

The Department of Electrical Engineering, Politeknik Negeri Semarang, Indonesia and IEEE Indonesia Section are organizing the 7th IEEE International Conference on Communication, Networks and Satellite  (COMNETSAT 2017).

COMNETSAT 2017 is aiming at the current state of technology and the outcome of ongoing research in the area of Communications, Networks and Satellite. The goal of the conference is to facilitate researchers around the world to publish and to share their current research in the area of Communications, Networks and Satellite.

Prospective authors are invited to submit original technical papers for presentation at the conference. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the COMNETSAT 2017 Conference Proceedings and will be submitted to IEEE Xplore after each paper is thoroughly reviewed and (if any) satisfactorily modified according to the reviewer comments.
