Introduction

The ACRID 2017 conference track covering mining, transportation and manufacturing is a forum for industrialists, researchers, academics and other practitioners with the aim of exploiting common synergies. Industrialists report on problems related to production, efficiency, management, competition. Researchers and academics come with proposed innovative solutions to these problems utilising models, experimental rigs and demonstrations. There is ample scope for the exploration and exchange of knowledge in this field through scientific talks, industry discussions, technical tutorials and panels. The conference covers all aspects of transportation research and practice, including theory, management, applications and technology, and will brings together renowned experts.
