Introduction

The ICT4DA 2017 (ICT for Development for Africa) Organizing Committee invites proposals for workshops to be held in conjunction with the conference. Under the general theme of “ICT for Development for Africa”, ICT4DA will be held in the city of Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. This location is highly appropriate to the conference since Bahir Dar is the source of Blue Nile and it holds the biggest lake in Ethiopia, as well as a number of beautiful monasteries. The conference dates are 30 January  – 31 January 2017, with the workshops taking place on 30th of January.
There is no restriction regarding topics, as long as there is a clear relevance to ICT4DA. We encourage workshops in the ICT for Development topics, particularly in the context of developing countries.
Most workshops will follow the classical format of presentations of peer--reviewed papers followed by discussion, but other formats and entirely new ideas are also welcome. Whatever the format, all workshops should be interactive events and ample time should be allocated to discussion. The typical duration for a workshop is one full day, but two-day or shorter workshops can also be accommodated.
