Introduction

NextGen Genomics, Biology, Bioinformatics and Technologies (NGBT) Conference to be held from Oct 2nd - 4th in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, is organized by SciGenom Research Foundation (SGRF), a not-for-profit organization working to promote Science Research & Education in India and rest of Asia.

The NGBT conference is jointly hosted with the Centre for the Commercialization of Antibodies and Biologics (CCAB), Toronto, Canada, Toronto Recombinant Antibody Centre (TRAC), Toronto, Canada, Institute of Bioinformatics (IOB), Bengaluru, India and Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT University), Bhubaneswar, India. This is the seventh international conference hosted by SGRF Conferences, the educational outreach arm of SciGenom Research Foundation (SGRF), along with national and international institutes.

Poster abstracts should follow the guidelines specified below. All poster abstracts will be reviewed by the poster review committee and will be selected solely based on quality for presentation at the meeting.

Students who wish to be considered for meeting and travel scholarship can do so through the online system while registering for the meeting. The deadline for abstract submission to be considered for scholarship and travel awards is June 30th, 2017. For more information on the scholarships and travel awards please visit SGRF scholarship announcement at www.sgrf.org/scholarships .  

Students who wish to be considered for the scholarship can register and submit their abstract online using the “pay-later" option on the online registration system.  

For the NGBT conference, participants are encouraged to submit poster abstracts that cover genomics, cancer biology, plant/agriculture science, animal science, immunology, drug discovery, basic sciences and signal transduction, algorithms for NGS data analysis, systems biology, and bioinformatics applications for big data management and analysis.

The cost of registering for the meeting is the same, whether or not you submit an abstract. You will not be able to present your abstract if you do not register for the meeting.

Abstract content and editing is the responsibility of the author. Abstracts will be published as submitted. Abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings. We also plan to select a few abstracts for a 10 minute verbal presentation and you will be notified if your abstract is selected for the same.

Poster dimensions will be notified 30 days before the start of the meeting.

Guidlines

Abstract Format
Please submit your abstract in the rich text format (rtf). Use Arial font for your abstract and whenever possible, try to use the Symbol font in your RTF file for your Greek and Scientific symbols (alpha, beta, gamma, etc.). Name of the author presenting the abstract should be in bold. 

Title should be bold and followed by one return.
Author list and institutions should be followed by one return.
Presenting author name should be in bold.
Abstract should be no more than 250 words on a single page.
Please use font size: 12; font: Arial.
English is the official language of the meeting.
Use standard abbreviations in your abstract as needed.
Document must fit 8 1/2" x 11" letter format.
Please use the rtf template provided to type in your abstract.
Provide any grant acknowledgments for your research at the end of your abstract as needed.
