Introduction

The School of Computer and Information Systems at Virginia International University is proud to host the Second Annual International Conference on Computing and Technology.

This event is designed to provide academics and professionals within the computer technology sphere, with quality educational and networking opportunities to enhance their careers and stay up-to-date in the ever-changing technological world. The conference will be a two-day event with presentations from distinguished faculty and other notable speakers from the technology community. We will also be showcasing projects, chosen from SCIS administration, designed by VIU's best and brightest students.

Abstracts for papers, poster presentations, and panel sessions should be submitted by October 1, 2017. Papers and presentations are invited from all areas of computer science from both academicians and practitioners. Proposals for workshops and poster presentations are also welcomed.

Guidlines

Abstracts should be no more than 400 words in length and should include a description of research design and/or the data, key findings, and implications for the theoretical debate or practice of the discipline. The abstract should also indicate the relevance of the presentation to one of the conference strands and explicitly outline 3-4 intended conclusions for the audience. In addition to the abstract, applicants are required to submit a short biography and photo of themselves.

Upon receipt and review of the required proposals, if accepted, author(s) will be asked to submit a shorter summary for inclusion in the conference program. Summaries for papers, posters, and workshops should be no longer than 50 words. 

Full papers must be submitted by October 31, 2017.
