India's North East has long been neglected in terms of both economic and social development. This is despite the richness of natural resources in the region, presenting a huge opportunity for investment, and growth of enterprises in the region.
The region comprises of eight states: Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura and Assam. All the eight states have different developmental prospects and resources to support their efforts in contributing to the regional as well as national economy.
