60th Midwest Academy of Management Annual Meeting 2017

Our goal is to create opportunities for involvement in this year’s 2017 Midwest Academy of Management Annual Meeting. It will be our 60th annual meeting, and we encourage lots of involvement from the Midwest and beyond. The doctoral consortium will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017.  Paper sessions, symposia, panels, and professional development workshops will be held on Friday and Saturday with receptions on Thursday and Friday.

“A New World of Opportunities for Meaningful Research and Learning – Building Theory and Contributing to Practice” The 2017 MAM conference theme is inspired by the global nature of our industries, communications, management practices, work, and living today. Informal discussions with academics and business and civic leaders, and reviews of scholarship and practice confirm this. This new world of opportunities is invigorated by advances in technology as well.

Knowing this, the 2017 conference is designed to provide current and future business scholars and practitioners with new opportunities to develop professionally, advance scholarly, and engage with the business community. In doing so, we can shape our work to more meaningfully build theory and enhance management practices at global, national, regional, and local levels.
