Introduction

Conference sessions will focus on how labor and working-class history is remembered by and interpreted for public audiences around the world. Topics might include (but are certainly not limited to): Museum exhibits, Historic sites; Public art; Digital history projects; Mapping projects; Oral history projects; Archaeological investigations; Historic preservation initiatives; New approaches to public engagement with working-class and labor history; Public history and labor history in the classroom; Community-engaged learning; Documentary films; Collaborations between academics, practitioners, and/or activists and organizers; The use of historical memory in current organizing campaigns and labor battles.
