Introduction

Welcome to Groningen, the Netherlands: a historic city where energy, innovation and technology merge.
We are proud to host the 41st edition of the IAEE international conference in 2018. The IAEE international conference is a four-day conference on energy business, markets and policy. Over 500 international particpants are expected to attend from all over the world. Conference participants include academics, policy makers, consultants, and representatives from energy businesses.
As a lively university city with almost 200,000 inhabitants, Groningen has the youngest average population in the Netherlands. It has a long history, which becomes evident from the historic warehouses, courts and buildings.
Walking through the city center, you will also find numerous examples of innovative architecture. It has a nearby airport and excellent train connection to other parts of the country as well as international destinations.
During the IAEE international conference you will have the opportunity to connect with and be part of the cutting edge hot topics in energy economics. You will have the possibility to connect with young and promising researchers as well as established names in the field. On top of that, you will increase your network as well as experience the charms of Groningen.
We look forward to meeting you in June 2018!

CONCURRENT SESSION ABSTRACT FORMAT
The abstract must be no more than two pages in length and must include an overview of the topic including its background and potential significance, methodology, results, conclusions and references (if any). Click here to download an abstract template. All abstracts must conform to the format structure outlined in the template.
PRESENTER ATTENDANCE AT THE CONFERENCE
The abstract cut-off date is January 8, 2018.  At least one author of an accepted paper or poster must pay the registration fees and attend the conference to present the paper or poster. The corresponding author submitting the abstract must provide complete contact details—mailing address, phone, fax, e-mail, etc. Authors will be notified by February 23, 2018, of the status of their presentation or poster.
Authors whose abstracts are accepted will have until April 9, 2018, to submit their final papers or posters for publication in the online conference proceedings. While multiple submissions by individuals or groups of authors are welcome, the abstract selection process will seek to ensure as broad participation as possible: each author may present only one paper or one poster in the conference. No author should submit more than one abstract as its single author.
If multiple submissions are accepted, then a different author will be required to pay the registration fee and present each paper or poster. Otherwise, authors will be contacted and asked to drop one or more paper(s) or poster(s) for presentation.
