The purpose of this conference is to explore the history of the monetary and financial processes of decolonization, often less studied than the political and the cultural ones. The objective is to shed light on the different historical cross-experiences such as a comparative analysis of the British and the French cases as well as the Dutch, the Portuguese, the Belgian, the Italian, the Spanish and the German cases of the monetary and financial colonial transitions. This conference aims to gather contributions from scholars, as well as participants from the various different countries emerging from decolonization.
