The 3rd International Social Science Conference - Islamic Thought & Understanding (ISSCITU 2018)

Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS), Universiti Teknologi MARA Cawangan Perlis, Kampus Arau in collaboration with Office of Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Mosque, International Islamic University Malaysia invite conference papers pertaining to contemporary issues on Islamic Thought and Institutions. The main idea behind this conference is to discuss and refresh the Muslims' mindset towards promoting the peaceful Islam and strengthening of the spiritual dimensions of faith and practice. Hence, the conference focuses on the role of Islamic institutions in rejuvenating the Islamic thought and understanding. It is hope to be platform for Muslims discussions on contemporary issues, challenges and to find the solutions.

The International Social Science Conference - Islamic Thought and Understanding (ISSCITU 2018) will be held from 1st to 3rd May 2018 at Adya Hotel, Langkawi Island, Malaysia. Langkawi Island is an archipelago of 104 islands in the Andaman Sea, some 30 km off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia. The islands are a part of the state of Kedah, which is adjacent to the Thai border. The conference offers a wide range of topics that may be discussed in local and global terms, either through the prism of Islamic thought and understanding, Islamic Institutions or through interdisciplinary collaborations. The theme of this conference is "Towards Rejuvenating Islamic Thought and Understanding".

Objectives:

• To provide a platform of intellectual discourse for academicians, researchers, and scholars in rejuvenating Islamic thought and understanding.
• To built a strong networking and collaboration with local and international bodies, institutions, academicians, researchers and scholars.
