5th World Congress for Middle Eastern Studies (WOCMES 2018)

Last December 15th 2015, The Three Cultures Foundation of the Mediterranean presented its candidature to host the 5th edition of WOCMES (World Congress on Middle Eastern and North African Studies) in Seville from July 16th to 22nd 2018. On April 30th the president of WOCMES International Advisory Council, Mr. Guenter Meyer, informed the Foundation that after having obtained the 76% of the votes, our institution has been appointed and elected to host the congress.

WOCMES is the most prestigious congress in the World on Middle Eastern Studies and has celebrated 4 previous editions: Mainz (2002), Amman (2006), Barcelona (2010) and Ankara (2014). With the inestimable collaboration of the University of Seville and the City Hall, this congress will gather renowned experts on all Human and Social Sciences researching on the Middle East from more than 70 countries, in around 500 working sessions and more than 30 different topics to debate.
